CNCA Framework for Long-Term Deep Carbon Reduction Planning

CNCA Framework for Carbon Reduction

The Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance (CNCA), an international collaboration of cities committed to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% by 2050, has produced a CNCA Framework for Long-Term Deep Carbon Reduction Planning is a roadmap for innovation and action: it provides municipal leaders with a detailed synthesis of the processes, strategies, practices, tools, and institutional structure used by leading-edge cities to plan long-term, deep reductions in carbon emissions. Inspired by the work of vanguard cities in the CNCA such as Vancouver and Copenhagen, the Framework focuses on deep carbon reductions which require transformative rather than incremental approaches.
