Sustainable Cities

The STAR Community Rating System is a comprehensive framework and online performance management system for local cities and counties that encompasses energy, infrastructure, the environment, health, equity, the economy and jobs, and the built environment. Since the frameworks launch in 2012, more than 50 communities have achieved a STAR Rating. This report present lessons learned from the first 50 certified communities and looks at how STAR is helping cities to become more sustainable, equitable and resilient.
