Millions Learning Case Studies
Expanding on the results outlined in the Million’s Learning Report, the Millions Learning Case Studies provide a more in-depth look at 12 of the programs from the previous report. One case study profiles the Sistema de Abrendizaje Tutorial (SAT) approach to secondary education, which is implemented in several Latin American countries. SAT provides alternative education to youth in rural communities that emphasizes civic engagement, social justice, and girls’ empowerment in addition to academic skills. The SAT program is being tested by the Bayan Association in Honduras as a tool to lower child marriage/early unions, teen pregnancy and girls’ drop-out rates.
