Abriendo Oportunidades Strengthens Government Education Programming for Indigenous Girls in Guatemala 

For over 15 years, Abriendo Oportunidades has partnered with national and local authorities to improve educational prospects for indigenous girls. In Guatemala, evidence and ongoing technical assistance have helped strengthen and expand the Ministry of Education’s alternative education programs for adolescents, ensuring they are responsive to the needs of the indigenous rural communities.
