Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs

Children's National Medical Center
The Children's National Medical Center is the site of the Generations program, a comprehensive health care center for young parents and their children. They provide psychosocial services, employment counseling, parenting education, and nutritional support for adolescents and their children.

DC Wheel Productions/Dance Place Dance
Dance Place is a professional theater, training facility, and community resource serving the nation's capital and beyond. They run the Energizers Program, an after-school and summer youth program designed to foster community service, lifeskills development and sexual responsibility.

The Empower Program
Working through partnerships with schools and local organization, The Empower Program works with youth to end gender-based violence. Their goal is to empower all young people to understand their power and role in preventing gender-based violence, and to give them the skills and knowledge to make healthy decisions for themselves.

Latin American Youth Center
The Latin American Youth Center's mission is to support youth and families in their determination to live, work and study with dignity, hope and joy. It is home to The Next Step Public Charter School, an alternative high school for parenting and at-risk teens.

Life Pieces to Masterpieces

Life Pieces to Masterpieces engages and supports male youth from Washington, DC in artistic, educational and other experiences to discover their creative ability to transform challenges into possibilities.

Mary's Center for Maternal & Child Care, Inc.
The Center's mission is to provide holistic and culturally responsive health care to women and their families. Their teen program provides adolescents with primary healthcare services, pregnancy prevention counseling, and education services.

Men Can Stop Rape
Men Can Stop Rape empowers male youth and the institutions that serve them to work as allies with women to prevent rape and other forms of men's violence. They provide workshops, training, and consultations on multiple topics around male responsibility and sexual violence.

Metro TeenAIDS
Metro TeenAIDS provides resources to help young people fight AIDS and support each other. Unlike any other organization in the Washington, DC are, Metro TeenAIDS focuses all of its efforts on the special prevention education and treatment needs of young people.

Network for Family Life Education
The Network for Family Life Education launched SEX, ETC., an award winning sexuality and health online newsletter written by teens for teens. They address questions on love, sex, abstinence, contraception, AIDS, STDs, drugs, drinking, and violence.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington provides comprehensive health care services, education and counseling, family planning, teen pregnancy prevention programs, breast and cervical cancer screening, and HIV/AIDS testing and counseling throughout the Washington metropolitan area.

Washington Hospital Center
The Washington Hospital Center is a community based medical center providing secondary pregnancy prevention through the Teen Alliance for Prepared Parenting (TAPP) program serving pregnant and parenting teens in four high-risk communities in the District of Columbia.
