HOW TO APPLY
Grantmaking Guidelines
Initial requests to the Summit Fund should come in the form of a letter
of inquiry. As a general rule, unsolicited proposals
will not be accepted.
The letter should be no more than two pages in length, and should
include the following information:
- A summary of the proposal;
- An explanation of the proposal’s relationship to Summit’s
funding priorities and to your organization’s mission and
work; and
- The grant amount being requested, the total proposed budget
and the funding available to date.
Where a letter of inquiry indicates a direct and close connection
to Summit’s funding objectives, a full proposal may be requested.
At that time, we will provide further information for proposal submission.
The Board of Directors meets twice a year. In 2010, Board meetings will be held on April 22 (proposals due February 19) and October 21 (proposals due August 19).
Grants are awarded only to those organizations with tax-exempt status
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and organized
and operated for charitable purposes.
Inquiries should be addressed by mail, fax or e-mail to:
